SpinEmpire's Position on Responsible Gambling
SpinEmpire does not market to minors, does not use misleading bonus language, and does not contact players who have self-excluded. Account controls are built into the platform directly — no phone call required to set a deposit limit or start a cooling-off period.
All responsible gaming controls listed on this page are enforced server-side. They cannot be bypassed by clearing cookies, switching browsers, or using the mobile version. Limit increases carry a mandatory 48-hour delay to prevent impulsive overrides.
Account Controls — Set Your Own Limits
Every tool below is available in Account Settings → Responsible Gaming. No support ticket required to activate or lower a limit.
Deposit Limits
Set a cap on total deposits per day, per week, or per month. The limit takes effect immediately when you set it. Decreasing a limit is instant. Increasing a limit carries a mandatory 48-hour cooling period before the change activates — this prevents heat-of-the-moment decisions from undoing your own protections.
Loss Limits
A ceiling on net losses per time period. When your net loss reaches the set amount, the game lobby becomes unavailable until the period resets — daily at midnight, weekly on Monday, monthly on the 1st. Same 48-hour delay applies to increases. Decreases are instant.
Reality Check
An on-screen alert at intervals you set — 30 minutes, 60 minutes, or 2 hours. The alert shows how long you have been playing and the session's net result. You dismiss it and continue, or end the session. The alert returns at each interval until you log out.
Time-Out (Cooling-Off)
Suspend your account from 1 day to 6 weeks. During the time-out, login is disabled and deposits are blocked. Your real money balance is preserved. Contact live chat to initiate — activates within 1 hour. Cannot be cancelled early — you must wait the full period.
Self-Exclusion
Full account closure from 6 months to permanent. During exclusion, your account is locked and you will not receive promotional emails. Real money balance is refunded within 5–10 business days. The exclusion cannot be reversed during the chosen period. Permanent exclusion cannot be reversed at all.
Wager Limits
Cap the maximum stake per spin or hand. Prevents a single bet from exceeding a set amount — useful for players who want to extend session time while managing risk per round. Set under Account → Settings → Responsible Gaming → Wager Limit.
Provincial Self-Exclusion Programs in Canada
Each province operates its own self-exclusion registry for provincially-licensed venues. Registering with your province's program covers government-run facilities — it is separate from SpinEmpire's own self-exclusion tool.

Understanding the Math Behind Casino Games
Return to Player (RTP) Is a Long-Run Statistic
A slot with 96% RTP returns CA$96 for every CA$100 wagered across millions of rounds. In any individual session of 100–500 spins, results vary dramatically. You can win CA$500 from CA$50, or lose CA$50 from a CA$200 session. The RTP only becomes meaningful across large numbers of bets.
Volatility Controls When Wins Happen, Not How Often
High-volatility slots pay infrequently but in larger amounts. Low-volatility slots pay more often but smaller. Neither volatility level changes the RTP. They change the shape of the session — high volatility sessions have longer dry spells and sharper peaks. Choosing a game by volatility is a session management decision, not a profitability one.
Each Spin Is Completely Independent
Casino games use certified Random Number Generators (RNG). Every spin result is independent of the previous one. A slot that has not paid a jackpot in 50,000 spins has the same jackpot odds on spin 50,001 as it did on spin 1. There is no "due" payout, no "hot" machine, no cycle to time.

Problem gambling affects people differently than other addictions — it leaves no physical signs and is often hidden through financial deception.
